We’re drawing one card for each sign from the Tarot’s Major Arcana and the second from its elemental suit. E.g. since Aquarius is an air sign, one card is drawn from the Major Arcana and one from the Tarot’s air suit, swords, for Aquarius. (Standard disclaimer: Tarotscopes are for entertainment purposes only).
Aquarius, January 20 – February 18: Temperance and the King of Swords. The King is master of his mind, and Temperance suggests it’s time to bring them into balance. Examine your beliefs — are they really true? Which are limiting you and which are helping you achieve your goals in work, love, and life? Focus on the latter.
Pisces, February 19 – March 20: The World and the Queen of Cups. The universe is coming together to work in your favor, dear Pisces. Now here’s the key:
Let. It. Happen.
You don’t need to force it. Simply know and believe that it’s all going to work out, and keep your heart open. In fact, the more time you can spend in your heart space, the more it will expand, and the more magic will happen.
Aries, March 21 – April 19: The Magician and the Two of Wands. You are on a magical journey, Aries, and the Magician promises that yes, you can make it happen. You have the tools. You know what you need to do. But you have to DO IT. No excuses, Aries. You want it? You can have it. But you have to take the risk and go for it.
Taurus, April 20 – May 20: The Fool and the Nine of Pentacles. So much yumminess is in store for you this month, dear Taurus! But… (Yes, there’s always a but). That delight is only available to those willing to play. Step out of your comfort zone. Or rekindle an old delight by returning to a comfort zone you’ve forgotten. It’s time to reach out and play a bit rather than bog down in all the work, work, work. What do you love? What delights you? What seduces you? Though it may seem counter-intuitive, by finding that joy, the material side of life will perk up in ways that may surprise you.
Gemini, May 21 – June 20: The Hierophant and the Page of Swords. If you’re looking for answers, they’re out there. You just have to be willing to listen. Sometimes the answer isn’t novel or unique — it’s obvious. So trite you may want to ignore it. But the fact is, humans have been going through these issues for thousands of years. We’re just stubborn and like to learn things the hard way (or not learn at all). Take comfort in the fact that you’re not alone, this is normal. Breathe through it, and open yourself to the answer.
Cancer, June 21 – July 22: The Emperor and the Five of Cups. The Emperor didn’t achieve his throne by dwelling on what isn’t working. He succeeds by focusing on what does work, and this applies to all aspects of life. Dwelling on the negative is a waste of your gorgeous life. You have awesome love and delight in your life right now, and what’s the point if you don’t revel in it? It’s time to have an affair with life, dear Cancer, and to appreciate — yes, appreciate — even the stinky parts. They’re all a part of the great story of life and love.
Leo, July 23 – August 22: The High Priestess and the Four of Wands. Super fun social situations in your future, Leo — and maybe a little romance too! You know how everyone tells you to “be authentic?” It’s good advice, but it doesn’t mean you have to drag every single one of your dark corners into the light. Don’t get me wrong — there’s nothing wrong with those dark corners. We all have them, and they’re what make us unique. But the great seducers and seductresses know that a hint of secret can be sexy. So own it!
Virgo, August 23 – September 22: The Star and the Two of Pentacles. The Star offers you love, hope, and a gentle, balanced joy. The Two of Pentacles also brings some balance into your material life (home, health, and work). Now all you have to do is feel the love.
Feel it. NOW.
Libra, September 23 – October 22: The Tower and the Two of Swords. Get ready for everything you thought you knew to be turned on its head. But it really is all in your head. Don’t cling to the way you think things should be, accept what you can’t change, and you’ll find you’re much happier. Though this moment of change may sound like a bad thing — and it certainly may be unsettling — take heart. By letting go, we allow for the next great adventure. Are you ready?
Scorpio, October 23 – November 21: Justice and the Ace of Cups. There’s a great alchemical riddle, Scorpio: “The key to life and death is everywhere to be found, but if you do not find it in your own house, you will find it nowhere. Yet, it is before everyone’s eyes; no one can live without it; everyone has used it. The poor usually possess more of it than the rich; children play with it in the streets. The meek and uneducated esteem it highly, but the privileged and learned often throw it away. When rejected, it lies dormant in the bowels of the earth. It is the only thing from which the Philosopher’s Stone can be prepared, and without it, no noble metal can ever be created.”
So what the heck does all that mean? It means you are love, but if you don’t recognize it, use it, and revel in it, then life’s kind of… blech. You know what you need to do now, don’t you?
Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21: The Moon and the Ace of Wands. Aces are some my fav cards, because they contain all the energy of their suit. And wands are fire, baby, — creative fire, sexual heat, and motivation to act. The Moon tells us that this energy is coming through your subconscious, so take some breaths, get centered, and listen to it. I’ve no idea what will be revealed, but it’s a good bet it will be damned exciting.
Capricorn, December 22 – January 19: The Chariot and the Queen of Pentacles. This month is about soft control. Will power and sheer grit aren’t going to do it for you. You’re going to need to bring some lovingkindess to the mix — for yourself and for others, but mainly for yourself, because you deserve it! Think about how you can show love to others, and do it. And think about how you can show love to yourself and do that as well.
