We’re drawing one card for each sign from the Tarot’s Major Arcana and the second from its elemental suit. E.g. since Sagittarius is a fire sign, one card is drawn from the Major Arcana and one from the Tarot’s fire suit, wands for Sagittarius. (Standard disclaimer: these are for entertainment purposes only).
Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21: The High Priestess and the Page of Wands. This month you’re moving into the unknown — new situations, new relationships, and new ways of living and working. Not knowing the answers can induce a bit of panic, but know that a big part of the joy in life is the quest to figure things out. It’s an adventure! Love it!
Capricorn, December 22 – January 19: The Emperor and the Seven of Pentacles. Feeling self-satisfied? You should this December. Your hard work is about to pay off. But don’t rest on your laurels yet. It will take a final push of diligence and discipline to get what you want. So be the Emperor!
Aquarius, January 20 – February 18: The Star and the Five of Swords. A lot has happened this year, and you might feel like you’ve just come from a battle.
Since most of the battle has been in your head, does it matter? The Star offers hope, a cool balm. The elements are coming together. Trust that things will work out and try to quiet your monkey mind. When it runs amuck, nothing good happens.
Pisces, February 19 – March 20: The Sun and the Five of Cups. Not everything has worked out the way you’ve hoped. Well, that’s life — or our tendency to want/expect things and people to be a certain way when they can’t be. You know what else life is? Good. And you’ve still got tons of great things going on. The key here is to focus on the good in your life, and there is plenty of it, and entire solar system, in fact. This month, make “gratitude” your key word. You’ll find you’re happier if you focus on that.
Aries, March 21 – April 19: The Hierophant and the King of Wands. You’ve got some strong energy going this month carrying the power of tradition, wisdom and maturity. The Hierophant is a teacher, bringing traditional knowledge. The King of Wands takes that knowledge and makes things happen – especially in the creative realms. The lesson here? Not everything old is useless. You just have to figure out how to make it work in your life.
Taurus, April 20 – May 20: The Hermit and the Queen of Pentacles. This month, take care of yourself, Taurus. No, that isn’t a warning, just a recognition that it’s time for some self-care. A spa day. Saying “no.” Taking a weekend off. You need these moments to recharge and refuel, and when you come back from them, you’ll find yourself revitalized – something I think you could use.
Gemini, May 21 – June 20: The Devil and the Four of Swords. Your agile mind is your own worst enemy this month, Gemini. The hurts, the slights, the battles — they’re in your head. There is, however, an escape. Quiet your mind. Get out of your head and into your heart.
Cancer, June 21 – July 22: Death and the Seven of Cups. Change is on its way, Cancer. You’ve probably seen it coming, because it’s spent some time in the making. The big question, of course, is change into what? You’ve got options, and the choice is yours. The problem is some of your choices look better than they are. The key here is to remember your core values. What really matters to you? What do you really care about?
Leo, July 23 – August 22: The Wheel of Fortune and the Two of Wands. You stand at a crossroads Leo, and either path you take could bring success or… not so much. That’s not a warning against one path or the other. Either could bring what you want or fear, because your fate is in your hands. The Wheel tells us that what goes up must come down — unless you find your center.
Virgo, August 23 – September 22: The Hanged Man and the Ace of Pentacles. Your message for December: Don’t Worry! Worrying is usually a waste of time. In your case, it will divert you from more productive pursuits. The Ace of Pentacles is the card of awesome stuff coming to you in the material realm — health, finances, home. So keep doing what you were meant to do and trust in the universe.
Libra, September 23 – October 22: The Empress and the Knight of Swords. You’re smoking this month, Libra. The sexy, fertile energy of the Empress combines with the can-do, active mind of the intelligent Knight of Swords. (There might even be a little romance in the cards for you). Honor all sides of your personality — masculine and feminine — this month. It’s all good.
Scorpio, October 23 – November 21: The Chariot and the Six of Cups. The human soul steers a chariot drawn by two horses of different natures, one light and of noble breed, and the other dark and ignoble. This explains the inner conflicts that can drive us. The Six of Cups suggests you let loving kindness and the spirit of generosity take the reins this month. Even if your family is driving you nuts.
