We’ve got a new feature on ParaYourNormal — monthly Tarotscopes! Here’s how this brand of divination works: one card is drawn for each sign from the Tarot’s Major Arcana and the second from its elemental suit. E.g. since Gemini is an air sign, one card is drawn from the Major Arcana and one from the Tarot’s air suit, swords.
Here’s a quick rundown of the correspondences:
- Air/Swords: Libra, Aquarius, Gemini
- Water/Cups: Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces
- Fire/Wands: Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
- Earth/Pentacles: Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn
Disclaimer: these are for entertainment purposes only, so enjoy!
Cancer, June 21 – July 22. Wheel of Fortune and Queen of Cups. The Queen of Cups knows that sometimes you’re on top, and sometimes you’re not, and she takes both the highs and lows philosophically. An even better way? Find your way to the center of that wheel — your true self — and you’ll see what really matters.
Leo, July 23 – August 22. The Lovers and the Three of Wands. Have you been aching for that ship to come in? Well, wait no longer, the sails are in sight. It may feel like you can just relax now and let it happen, but if you want things to really (ahem) climax, then you’re going to have to devote some energy to the big finish.
Virgo, August 23 – September 22. The Devil and the Ten of Pentacles. A treasure chest lies open before you, sparkling with gold and jewels. Or does it? If it sounds too good to be true, you should probably take a second look. Then check your pockets. And then your relatives.
Libra, September 23 – October 22. The Fool and the Page of Swords. This month brings the opportunity to play with new ideas. Even the seemingly wacky ones will contain gems that you can move forward with. Just let go of your fear and open to beginner’s mind.
Scorpio, October 23 – November 21. The Magician and the Four of Cups. An opportunity is beckoning, and yes, you do have what you need to carpe that diem. You may, however, need to do a little work and soul searching to find the tools you need. But they’re there.
Sagittarius, November 22 – December 21. The Empress and the Eight of Wands. Creativity, fertilization, growth. It’s all happening this month, but you may it’s moving a little too fast. Change can be scary, even if it’s for the best. Don’t allow fear to derail your progress.
Capricorn, December 22 – January 19. The Sun and the Three of Pentacles. Wow. Good job. Great job! Now don’t hide your light under a bushel. Show people what you’ve done. This is your marketing and promotion month, Capricorn. In today’s world, it’s not enough to just do it. You’ve got to let people know.
Aquarius, January 20 – February 18. The High Priestess and the King of Swords. Have your subconscious drives been helping or hurting? In either case, you now have the opportunity — if you’re willing to take it — to go deep and understand just what’s driving you, and then take control. The journey can be a bit scary, but it will be well worth it.
Pisces, February 19 – March 20. The Star and the Ten of Cups. It’s hard to imagine a a more positive conjunction of forces at work in your life than this one. But don’t just hope for your heart’s desire. Take active steps to make it happen. As someone once said somewhere, you won’t find Prince Charming by sitting at home eating Doritos and watching TV.
Aries, March 21 – April 19. The Emperor and the Queen of Wands. Power, strength, and glory are YOURS. Okay, seriously, there are some big energies at work here, and they’re meshing like two red-hot lovers. But the key to making them work for you is to reach out and share your fire with others (that’s share. SHARE). This is another instance where working and plotting on your own won’t quite get you there. You need others. But be sure to give as well as get.
Taurus, April 20 – May 20. Justice and the Five of Pentacles. This month is about how you relate to others. To navigate successfully, you must find a balance between the practical and the spiritual. Just don’t let your idealism blind you to reality. You can’t help everyone.
Gemini, May 21 – June 20. Strength and the Two of Swords. July presents an opportunity to harness your twin natures so they can launch you to new heights rather than tearing you apart. It may sound trite, but the key here is treating yourself like your best beloved, with strength, patience, and love.
