The Clockwork Alchemy anthology I’m a part of has their cover and back cover blurb! I’m not sure when this collection of steampunk short stories will be ready for purchase, but once again I’m in awe of the organizational powers of the Clockwork Alchemy volunteers!
My two contributions take place just before the events in Of Mice and Mechanicals. It was a bit of a challenge – not only did I have to incorporate this year’s Clockwork Alchemy theme of myths and legends, but both stories had to be 12 hours apart, somehow connected, and yet independent stories that could be read as stand alones.
Here’s the blurb for the anthology:
Myth! Mystery! Intrigue! Dirigibles!
One day only! Each story in a single hour, and each hour a whirlwind of steam, legends, spycraft, and the occasional forest demon dropping in for good measure.
Twelve Hours Later: 24 Tales of Myth and Mystery will thrill you with round-the-clock and round-the-world action and adventure, weaving lore from ancient Egypt, Greece, Japan, and more into a whole new Steampunk tapestry.
The Treehouse Writers, fifteen talented authors, artists and poets, have come together in the must read anthology of 2015. We invite you to immerse yourself in our worlds of myths, legends, and lore —with a Steampunk flair.
About the Author
Kirsten Weiss is the author of the Riga Hayworth paranormal mystery series: The Metaphysical Detective, The Alchemical Detective, The Shamanic Detective, The Infernal Detective, The Elemental Detective, and The Hoodoo Detective. She’s also the author of two paranormal proto-steampunk novels, Steam and Sensibility and Of Mice and Mechanicals.
Kirsten has never met a dessert she didn’t like, and her guilty pleasures are watching Ghost Whisperer reruns and drinking good wine (and even some of the not-so-good stuff).
