10 Awesome Paranormal Tumblrs to Spook and Inspire

paranormal tumblr

paranormal tumblrtumblr is in an interesting animal, a microblog best suited to photos and short bursts of text. Supposedly it’s Facebook for the under-30 crowd, but I love its sleek look. It hosts some amazing paranormal-themed tumblrs. Here’s my (admittedly subjective) pick of the top 10:

1. They Hide in the Dark: Great mix of spooky photos and articles to go with them.

2. Paranormal Night: Its homepage says the microblog is about “myths, ghosts, cryptids, the odd and bizarre.” It is.

3. Who Needs Sleep? If you’re attracted to the horror side of the paranormal, this is the tumblr for you.

4. Wicca Teachings: Informative and gorgeous.

5. Life of an Ordinary Witch: Lovely images with snippets of witchy wisdom.

Buffy the vampire slayer

Buffy agrees. Sparkly vampires are just wrong.

6. Buffy The Vampire Slayer Tumblr: It’s tough to find a vampire tumblr that doesn’t make me want to vomit teen love. And then, there’s Buffy.

7. Fin de Siecle: Dark and mysterious alchemical imagery

8. Eurasian Shamanism: There’s something almost scholarly about this blog, for the true shamanism connoisseur. It’s focus is on images and information about different real-life Eurasian shamans, their tools, and their practices.

9. PLEROMA: A tumblr for the ceremonial magickian.

10. The Paranormal Guide.  Its homepage says it best: “All things paranormal, strange, dark, macabre, weird, odd and bizarre!” Combines actual articles with gorgeous paranormal photos.
